Welcome to OmniAccount. By using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using OmniAccount ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
OmniAccount is a personal finance management platform that helps you track, organize, and understand your financial accounts. We connect to your financial institutions through Plaid to aggregate your account information in one place.
Important: OmniAccount is a financial management tool, not a financial advisor. We do not provide investment advice, tax advice, or recommendations on financial decisions. Always consult qualified professionals for financial advice.
3. Eligibility
To use OmniAccount, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a resident of a jurisdiction where the Service is available
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
4. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Financial Account Linking
When you link financial accounts through our Service:
- Authorization: You authorize OmniAccount and our service provider, Plaid, to access your financial account information on your behalf.
- Credentials: Your bank login credentials are handled securely by Plaid. OmniAccount never stores your bank passwords.
- Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that the financial data retrieved is complete, accurate, or up-to-date. Your financial institution's records are the authoritative source.
- Third-Party Terms: Your use of linked accounts is also subject to Plaid's terms of service and your financial institution's terms.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use the Service to transmit malware or other harmful code
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
- Share your account credentials with others
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its content, features, and functionality, is owned by OmniAccount and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
You retain ownership of your personal data. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use your data solely to provide and improve the Service.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of financial data.
- We are not responsible for decisions you make based on information from the Service.
- We are not a bank, financial institution, or financial advisor.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OMNIACCOUNT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Financial losses based on decisions made using the Service
- Service interruptions or data inaccuracies
- Unauthorized access to your account
Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold OmniAccount harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
11. Termination
- By You: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature.
- By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with or without notice.
- Effect: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tennessee.
14. Dispute Resolution
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may proceed with formal legal action.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and OmniAccount regarding the Service.
